Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has fueled speculation over Stanley Nwabali’s future after playfully suggesting that the Super Eagles shot-stopper could be on his way to the Premier League.
In a video shared on her Instagram story, Nnadozie jokingly welcomed Nwabali to her club, Brighton, after the Nigerian goalkeeper was seen wearing her Brighton jersey during a recent meet-up.
“My club don sign new keeper,” Nnadozie said in Pidgin English, teasing the possibility of Nwabali joining the Seagulls. She further sparked transfer speculation by adding the caption, “Next stop England,” hinting that she believes the 29-year-old could soon secure a move.
The pair also posed together in Brighton’s home shirt in another photo shared on Nnadozie‘s Instagram story.

Nnadozie enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with Brighton after joining the Women’s Super League side last year. The 25-year-old quickly established herself as one of the league’s standout goalkeepers, registering six clean sheets in 19 league appearances and earning a nomination for the Women’s Super League Save of the Season award.
She also played a pivotal role in Brighton’s run to the Women’s FA Cup final, although the Seagulls were beaten 4-0 by Manchester City at Wembley.
While Nnadozie continues to flourish in England, Nwabali remains without a club following his departure from South African side Chippa United in February.

The goalkeeper’s last competitive outing came in January, when he produced a standout display for Nigeria by saving penalties from Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush, helping the Super Eagles secure third place at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite being linked with several clubs across Africa and Europe, Nwabali is yet to finalise his next move. His prolonged spell without a club has also impacted his international standing, with Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye claiming Nigeria’s number-one spot in recent call-ups.
Francis Uzoho has retained his place in the squad, while Arthur Okonkwo has emerged as another goalkeeping option after switching his international allegiance to Nigeria.
With the summer transfer window now in full swing, Nwabali and his representatives will be hoping to secure a new club soon as the experienced goalkeeper looks to revive his career and reclaim his place between the sticks for the Super Eagles.
