Super Eagles winger Moses Simon could be set to play under a new manager next season, with former Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior reportedly in talks to replace Antoine Kombouaré at Paris FC.
Kombouaré’s future at the club remains uncertain despite taking charge in February 2026 and guiding Paris FC to an 11th-place finish in their first season back in the French top flight in over four decades.
The club’s hierarchy is reportedly eager to accelerate its ambitions of competing for European qualification and has identified the 41-year-old Rosenior as the ideal candidate to lead that transformation.
According to reports in France, Rosenior has already held discussions with Paris FC over the vacant role, prompting the club to postpone the start of its pre-season preparations. Training was initially scheduled to resume on Wednesday, July 1, but French outlet L’Équipe reports that the restart has been delayed as negotiations continue.

Should Rosenior be appointed, it would mark a significant change for Simon, who has enjoyed a strong working relationship with Kombouaré over the years. The pair spent five seasons together at Nantes between 2021 and 2025 before reuniting at Paris FC in 2026.
Rosenior is widely regarded as the frontrunner for the position. His appointment would also offer Simon a fresh challenge under one of the game’s highly rated young coaches. The former defender has built an impressive managerial résumé, earning recognition for his work across both the Premier League and English Football League, as well as his recent spell in France.
