Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey started as Fulham fought back to draw 1–1 with Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday, extending their unbeaten Premier League run to three matches.
Nicolas Jackson put Villa ahead in the 39th minute, but a Zion Suzuki own goal midway through the second half brought Fulham level and ultimately secured a point for the visitors.
Iwobi played 75 minutes before making way for Tom Cairney. Bassey started alongside David Affengruber in central defence and received a yellow card in first-half stoppage time.
The Nigerian pair were part of an Álvaro Arbeloa side looking to build on consecutive league victories over Hull City and Coventry City. Their winning sequence ended in Birmingham, but the comeback ensured they avoided defeat on another away trip.

Villa had an earlier opportunity to take control when John McGinn missed a penalty in the 16th minute. Jackson subsequently broke the deadlock, finishing from Johan Manzambi’s assist to give the hosts a half-time advantage.
The Cottager’s response arrived in the 64th minute through Suzuki’s own goal. Neither side managed a winner, leaving the visitors with four points from successive away league matches.
Iwobi remained on the pitch for the equaliser before Cairney replaced him with 15 minutes of regulation time remaining. Fulham later introduced César Palacios and Kenny Tete for Josh King and Oscar Bobb, followed by Hugo Larsson and Rodrigo Muniz for Timothy Castagne and Gonzalo García.
The draw followed two narrow victories that had helped Fulham recover momentum. Iwobi scored the only goal against Hull on October 17, before Bobb supplied the winner at Coventry a week later.
Saturday’s point means Fulham have collected seven points from their last three Premier League outings, conceding just once across that sequence.
