Six more players have arrived at the Super Eagles camp, joining the six early arrivals that were already in Kigali, as the national team continues to gear up for the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Rwanda.
The players who have checked in include Victor Boniface, Samuel Chukwueze, Jordan Torunarigha, Moses Simon, Raphael Onyedika, and Stanley Nwabali.
More players, including captain William Troost-Ekong, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, Joe Aribo, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Igoh Ogbu are expected to join the camp tonight as they prepare for the highly anticipated clash against Rwanda’s Amavubi on March 22.
The encounter against Rwanda is a must-win for Nigeria, as a victory is essential to revive their World Cup qualification hopes. On the other hand, a draw or loss would significantly reduce their chances of participating in the tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
As of now, 11 more players are expected to arrive at the camp as the team will hold its first training session tomorrow, where they will meet newly appointed head coach Eric Chelle and begin their preparations in earnest.
