Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye delivered a blunt verdict after his side’s dramatic 3-3 draw with Lazio in Serie A Round 34. The Nigerian international saw his team lose a stoppage-time lead at the Stadio Olimpico, as Lazio struck late to deny the visitors a famous away win.
Okoye has been a regular presence for Udinese in recent weeks and started their previous league fixture, underlining his growing role in the squad. His involvement remains key as Udinese push for strong finishes in tight matches like this one.
Udinese started fast and took the lead through Kingsley Ehizibue in the 18th minute. The early goal gave them confidence and control in the first half.
Lazio responded after the break. Luca Pellegrini equalised in the 50th minute. Pedro then put the hosts ahead in the 80th minute with a composed finish.
Udinese refused to back down. Arthur Atta stepped up late in the game. He scored in the 86th minute to level the score at 2-2. Deep into stoppage time, Atta struck again to make it 3-2 for Udinese.

However, Lazio had the final word. Daniel Maldini scored in the 95th minute to seal a 3-3 draw in dramatic fashion.
Speaking after the match, Okoye did not hide his frustration.
”Now the feeling is more like we have lost two points, but already tomorrow we will realize that we have earned an important point at Lazio, which is not easy. Now we are disappointed, but we have to move on. This is football, we were both down and ahead, too bad for the goal conceded at the end. It was a good game for the spectators. In the next few days we will see where we need to improve.”
Udinese showed attacking strength and resilience. Yet, their late collapse highlights defensive concerns.
