Victor Osimhen remains on the radar of top European clubs, with Premier League leaders Arsenal the latest side to be linked with the Galatasaray striker.

According to as.com, Arsenal’s Sporting Director Andrea Berta was in Istanbul to watch the derby between rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, which was played on Sunday.

Berta reportedly kept a close eye on three Galatasaray players, but his primary objective was to see Victor Osimhen in person. The other two players were winger Baris Asper Yilmaz, and goalkeeper Ugurcan Çakir.

Victor Osimhen impressed on the night, scoring the opening goal as the Turkish champions secured a huge 3-0 victory. Yilmaz also found the net from the spot. Former Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira wrapped up the win.

The game marked Osimhen’s 50th Super Lig appearance, and he celebrated it in style. The Nigerian international scored his 20th goal this season, and his 39th league goal since moving to Turkey.

The Gunners signed Viktor Gyökeres last summer for €75 million from Sporting Lisbon. The Swedish striker has scored 18 goals this season in 48 appearances across all competitions.

Despite this, Osimhen appears to be a strong target for Arsenal in this summer transfer window. However, it remains to be seen if the London club would advance on a potential transfer.
