Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho could still leave Sevilla before the end of the transfer window, with several Turkish clubs circling for his signature, Bold Sports reports.

The 28-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough in the English Championship, where he managed one goal and two assists. He returned to Sevilla for preseason, but reports suggest he may not feature in the plans of head coach Matias Almeyda.

Transfer expert Buchi Laba claims that Besiktas, along with two other Turkish sides, have inquired about the terms for signing Iheanacho. The former Leicester City forward is also said to be open to a move to the Turkish Süper Lig.

Sevilla are believed to be demanding €3 million for Iheanacho — a figure that, while modest, still represents a profit after acquiring him on a free transfer in 2024 following his seven-year stint with Leicester.

Should a deal materialise, Iheanacho would link up once again with Wilfred Ndidi, who recently joined Besiktas from Leicester. The pair spent six years together at the King Power Stadium, forging a strong partnership both on and off the pitch.

The move would also see Iheanacho join a growing contingent of Nigerian internationals in Turkey this summer, including Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray, Paul Onuachu at Trabzonspor — who marked his return with a goal earlier this week — and Henry Onyekuru at Gençlerbirliği.

If a permanent transfer fails to materialise, Sevilla could opt to loan Iheanacho out for a second consecutive season, or alternatively, reintegrate him into the squad alongside fellow Nigerian players Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke for the 2025–26 campaign.
