Nigerian forward Precious Achiuwa recorded a dominant double-double to power the Sacramento Kings to a 118-109 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome on Saturday night (Sunday morning Nigerian time).
Riding his impressive recent form, Kings head coach Doug Christie once again trusted Achiuwa in the starting lineup alongside DeMar DeRozan, Maxime Raynaud, Russell Westbrook, and Nique Clifford, with all five starters finishing in double figures.
DeRozan led the Kings with 27 points and seven assists, while Achiuwa delivered an outstanding performance with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and a game-high four blocks. Raynaud contributed 23 points.

Westbrook dropped a triple double of 12 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and four steals. Clifford added 11 points while Daeqwon Plowden chipped in with 15 points and five rebounds off the bench.
For the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard finished with a game-high 31 points, but his effort was not enough to secure the win. Darius Garland added 25 points, Bennedict Mathurin scored 24 points off the bench, while John Collins contributed 10 points.
This season, Achiuwa is averaging nine points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, and has been one of the standout performers in the Kings’ recent resurgence.
Next up for the Kings is a clash against the Utah Jazz, who are currently without a win in their last two outings.
