Swedish top-flight club Djurgården have opened their doors to Nigerian youngsters Usman Emmanuel Inalegwu and Longji Aaron. Both players trained with the club’s A-team at Kaknäs on Monday, Bold Sports reports.
The visit gives the Ikonnekt Football Academy prospects an opportunity to experience football in Stockholm.
Their latest football activity came during Monday’s session with Djurgården. Inalegwu worked as a left-footed central defender, while Aaron trained as a striker. The club has not published recent match statistics for either player, so no goal or appearance figures are being added without verification.
Djurgården returned to training after a one-week break. The Nigerian duo joined the squad during the session at Kaknäs.
Inalegwu offers a left-footed option in central defence. Aaron provides an attacking option as a forward. Their visit allows both players to become familiar with the Swedish club and its football environment.
The opportunity also places two young Nigerian talents inside a European top-flight setup.
Djurgården currently compete in the Allsvenskan. After 22 league matches, the Stockholm club sit third with 41 points. They have recorded 13 wins, two draws and seven defeats.
Inalegwu and Aaron now have the chance to make their own impression at the Stockholm club.
For the two Ikonnekt Football Academy players, Monday’s session marks an important step in their development. Their time at Kaknäs could provide valuable exposure to the demands of professional football in Sweden.
