‎Nigerian youngster Zadok Yohanna has pledged to give everything for Brighton & Hove Albion after completing a club-record €28 million move from Swedish side AIK Stockholm, with a further €2 million included in performance-related add-ons.

‎The highly-rated winger arrives at the Premier League club after an impressive rise in Sweden and is eager to begin the next chapter of his career in England.

‎The 18-year-old attracted attention with his performances for AIK Stockholm during the early stages of the 2026 season. His pace, attacking threat and confidence in one-on-one situations helped establish him as one of the most exciting young Nigerian talents playing abroad. Those displays convinced Brighton to move for the teenager as part of their long-term recruitment strategy.

‎Speaking after his arrival, Yohanna explained that Brighton’s reputation for developing young players played a major role in his decision.

‎”I watch Premier League games a lot, so I know the teams that use young players, and Brighton is one of them. They are really good at developing young talents, and I think their style of play will fit me a lot.”

Brighton have earned praise in recent years for providing opportunities to emerging talents and helping them progress into first-team football.

‎Despite his excitement about joining Brighton, Yohanna admitted that leaving AIK Stockholm was not easy after building strong relationships at the Swedish club.

‎”I had a lot of good people around me who took care of me. Everyone loved me, so it was difficult to leave.”

‎His time in Sweden proved crucial in his development, helping him adapt to European football and prepare for a move to one of the world’s most competitive leagues.

‎Yohanna also revealed that he spoke with Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler before finalising the transfer.

‎”He urged me to keep fighting and working hard. I will give everything I have and I really want to win trophies with the team.”

‎The teenager’s comments underline his determination to make an impact at Brighton as he begins life in the Premier League.
