Blackburn Rovers have completed the permanent signing of attacker Oladapo Afolayan from German side St. Pauli for an undisclosed fee, Bold Sports reports.
The 28-year-old forward, who is English-born but eligible to represent Nigeria through his heritage, has put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at Ewood Park until June 2027.
Afolayan began his professional career at West Ham United after joining the Premier League club in 2018. He spent time on loan at Oldham Athletic and Mansfield Town before sealing a permanent move to Bolton Wanderers in 2021.

His spell at Bolton Wanderers proved to be a defining period, as he scored 20 goals in 62 starts during the 2021–22 season. Those performances earned him the club’s Player of the Year award and attracted interest from outside England.
In 2023, Afolayan moved to St. Pauli, where he played a key role in their successful 2023–24 promotion campaign, scoring nine league goals. He went on to make a total of 86 league appearances for the German side.
Now back in English football, Afolayan becomes Blackburn Rovers’ third signing of the January transfer window as the club continues to strengthen its squad for the remainder of the season.
