Wilfred Ndidi’s future is edging closer to a resolution after Turkish giants Besiktas had a €9.5 million bid accepted by Leicester City, according to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, Bold Sports reports.

The Nigerian midfielder, who is currently with the Leicester squad for pre-season, now faces a decision with several clubs still in the race for his signature. Despite the accepted offer, Ndidi is yet to commit to a move, as he continues to assess his options this summer.

Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are among the clubs to have shown strong interest in the 28-year-old, joining a list that also includes Manchester United, Everton, and some other Premier League sides. Real Betis, Juventus, and multiple Saudi Arabian clubs have also been linked, with the player reportedly holding a €9 million relegation release clause in his contract.

The Foxes returned to the Championship after their relegation from the Premier League last season, and Ndidi is understood to have no interest in playing in the second tier, making a departure this summer increasingly likely.

Ndidi, who has made over 300 appearances for Leicester City since joining in 2017, played 30 games last season, scoring once and providing five assists. With interest from across Europe and beyond, he remains one of the most sought-after midfielders on the market.

Manchester United are believed to have discussed personal terms with Ndidi’s camp earlier this summer, though their immediate focus remains on signing a new striker. Any midfield additions at Old Trafford are likely to depend on player departures.

While Besiktas are now in a strong position, Ndidi has yet to express a preference for any destination, keeping all options open as he weighs the next step in his career.
