Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho made an instant impact on his Celtic debut, coming off the bench to score a dramatic late winner as the Scottish champions edged Kilmarnock 2-1 in their Premiership clash on Sunday, Bold Sports reports.
Iheanacho, who recently joined Celtic on a one-year deal after mutually terminating his contract with Sevilla, started the game on the bench but came on to decide it in style.
Celtic dominated the early exchanges, piling pressure on the hosts but failing to find the breakthrough until the 57th minute when Daizen Maeda grabbed his first league goal of the season to reward their control.

Kilmarnock, however, refused to fold and got their reward in the 83rd minute as 20-year-old Scottish midfielder David Watson rose highest to head home the equaliser, sparking hopes of a late upset.
Just when the game looked to be heading for a draw, Celtic were awarded a penalty after a VAR review confirmed Lewis Mayo had handled the ball inside the box. Iheanacho stepped up with confidence and slotted the spot-kick past the goalkeeper to seal the victory in the closing minutes.
The win ensures Celtic maintain their unbeaten start to the league campaign, with four wins and a draw from their opening five matches. Brendan Rodgers’ men will now shift focus to the League Cup, where they face Partick Thistle on Sunday, 21 September.
