Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze delivered another brilliant performance for Fulham, registering an assist for the second straight game as the Cottagers claimed a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Fresh off providing the match-winning assist in Fulham’s 1–0 win over Sunderland last weekend, Chukwueze was rewarded with his first Premier League start, and he wasted no time making his mark.
The Nigerian winger was electric from the opening whistle, tormenting full-back Pedro Porro and helping Fulham grab a fourth-minute lead. After beating Porro on the flank, Chukwueze rolled a pass to Kenny Tete, whose strike took a deflection off Destiny Udogie and went into the back of the net to put the visitors in front.

Just two minutes later, Tottenham’s nightmare start worsened as Vicario came off his line to clear the ball but miscued it straight to Joshua King, who teed up Harry Wilson to fire into an empty net, handing Fulham an early 2–0 advantage.
Chukwueze nearly extended the lead in the 11th minute when a loose ball from a corner fell kindly to him, but his curling strike grazed the outside of the post. He remained a constant threat, and in the 26th minute he came close again after pouncing on a defensive error from Porro, only for Micky van de Ven to produce a last-ditch block on the goal line.
Tottenham improved after the break and pulled one back in the 59th minute when Lucas Bergvall played a clever pass to Mohammed Kudus, who smashed an unstoppable effort into the top corner to make it 2–1. Bergvall nearly equalised seven minutes later, but Raul Jiménez cleared his goal-bound effort off the line to preserve Fulham’s lead.

With Spurs piling on the pressure, Marco Silva turned to his bench, introducing Emile Smith Rowe and Sasa Lukic before withdrawing Chukwueze for Brazilian forward Kevin in the 80th minute.
Despite the tense finale, Fulham held firm to secure their first away win of the Premier League season, ending a run of five consecutive defeats on the road. The victory lifts the Cottagers to 15th place with 17 points from 13 matches, while Tottenham slip to 10th with 18 points.
