Manchester City Women put four goals past Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie to defeat Brighton Women 4-0 in the final of the 2026 Women’s FA Cup at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Having already secured the Women’s Super League title, City entered the final as favourites to complete a domestic double and wasted little time asserting their dominance.
First-half goals from Khadija “Bunny” Shaw and Alex Greenwood handed the WSL champions a deserved 2-0 lead at the break. Aoba Fujino and Vivianne Miedema then added two more goals in the second half to seal a comprehensive victory for the Citizens.

Despite being underdogs and making their first appearance in a major final, Brighton started brightly and impressed during the opening 35 minutes. However, once City broke the deadlock, they took full control of the contest and dictated proceedings for the remainder of the match.
The defeat marked Brighton’s heaviest loss of the season and the highest number of goals conceded by Nnadozie since joining the club from French side Paris FC last summer.
Nevertheless, the Nigeria international can take pride in her contribution to Brighton’s campaign. Nnadozie played a key role in helping the Seagulls finish seventh in the league, recording seven wins, five draws, and 10 defeats.
She will now be aiming to help the club challenge for a UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification spot next season.
