…Tobi Amusan focused on next meet in Eugene
Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan | Bold Sports continued her impressive build-up to the 2026 Commonwealth Games by storming to victory in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Paris Diamond League on Sunday, matching her season’s best of 12.28s.
The world record holder produced another commanding display at Stade Charléty, pulling away from a strong field to claim her second consecutive Diamond League victory and third podium finish of the season.
American Grace Stark finished second in a season’s best 12.38s, while compatriot Alaysha Johnson placed third in 12.39s.
The Netherlands’ Nadine Visser finished fourth in 12.41s, Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska was fifth in 12.46s, and American Rayniah Jones came sixth in 12.60s.

Jamaica’s Demisha Roswell and Megan Simmonds completed the field in seventh and eighth with times of 12.78s and 12.92s, respectively.
Amusan’s latest triumph continues an outstanding run of consistency on the Diamond League circuit this season. After opening her campaign with a third-place finish in Shanghai in 12.41s, the Nigerian has now recorded 12.28s in three consecutive races.
She first clocked the mark while finishing second in Xiamen behind American Masai Russell before winning both the Rabat and Paris Diamond League meetings in the same time.

The performance is another encouraging sign for the Nigerian star as she continues to build momentum ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where she is expected to spearhead Team Nigeria’s medal challenge.
Amusan will head to Scotland as one of the favourites in the women’s 100m hurdles after rediscovering the form that made her the world champion and world record holder, with her consistent performances placing her among the leading contenders for gold.
