Tolu Arokodare scored his first Eredivisie goal for Ajax on Sunday. The Nigerian striker found the net in Ajax’s 4-0 victory over Telstar.

‎The 25-year-old has now scored in three straight matches. He also netted twice in Ajax’s UEFA Conference League playoff victory over FC Sion. His latest strike took his tally to four goals in all competitions for the Dutch giants.

‎Ajax struggled to break Telstar down early in the game. Davy Klaassen finally opened the scoring in the 37th minute.

‎Steven Berghuis doubled the advantage after the break. Arokodare then struck four minutes later.

‎The Super Eagles forward made it 3-0 in the 60th minute. Marcos Leonardo completed the scoring in the 78th minute. Arokodare played the full 90 minutes.

‎The goal marked his first in the Dutch league. It also capped a productive run since his arrival in Amsterdam.

‎Arokodare joined Ajax from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer. The deal covers the 2026/27 season and includes an option to buy.

‎His move to Ajax gives him another chance to establish himself. He has already started making an impact in the Netherlands.

‎The victory also strengthened Ajax’s position in the Eredivisie table. They moved to fourth place with seven points from three matches.

‎For Arokodare, the timing is encouraging. His scoring run is growing with every appearance.

‎With Ajax competing on multiple fronts, the Nigerian striker has quickly become an important attacking option. His latest goal against Telstar adds further evidence of that growing influence.
