Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Ranchers Bees have announced the appointment of experienced tactician Usman Abdallah as their new head coach.
The club confirmed the appointment on Wednesday as preparations intensify for their return to Nigeria’s top-flight league after an 18-year absence.
Abdallah, 51, reportedly signed a two-year contract with the Kaduna-based club following the expiration of his deal with Remo Stars at the end of last season.
The appointment is seen as a major statement of intent by Ranchers Bees as they seek to establish themselves in the NPFL after securing promotion.

Abdallah brings a wealth of coaching experience to the role, having worked with several clubs across the country, including Kano Pillars, where he served as an assistant coach and also handled the club’s youth team.
His reputation grew during his time at Enyimba, where he initially worked as an assistant before being elevated to the position of head coach. Under his leadership, the People’s Elephant reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup and went on to win the 2018/19 NPFL title, finishing ahead of his hometown club, Kano Pillars.
The veteran coach also managed Wikki Tourists and Katsina United, further strengthening his credentials within the domestic game.

Most recently, Abdallah served as Technical Adviser at Remo Stars during the 2025/26 campaign, although his appointment couldn’t help the club avoid relegation, just a year after they were crowned NPFL champions.
His arrival at Ranchers Bees is expected to provide the experience and leadership needed as the club prepare for the challenges of competing in the NPFL once again.
The newly promoted side will be hoping Abdallah’s proven track record and extensive knowledge of Nigerian football can help them secure their top-flight status and build a competitive team for the future
