Bendel Insurance have strengthened their squad for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season with the signing of left-back Nwokeji Chukwuemeka Godstime from Enyimba FC, Boldsports report.

‎The Benin-based club confirmed the transfer on their official Facebook page, announcing that the defender has signed a two-year contract as preparations continue for the new campaign.

‎Godstime made 10 appearances for Enyimba during the previous season. He did not score or register an assist, but his consistent defensive displays earned him valuable first-team minutes. His arrival gives Bendel Insurance another option at left-back as the club continues to reinforce its defence before the new NPFL season.

‎The announcement underlines Bendel Insurance’s intent to build a stronger back line ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. The club described the defender as an intelligent addition to its squad and welcomed him to Benin.

‎The move marks another step in Bendel Insurance’s recruitment drive as the club looks to improve on last season’s performances and compete strongly in the upcoming NPFL campaign.

‎Godstime now begins a fresh chapter in Benin City after leaving Enyimba. He will aim to establish himself as a regular starter and help Bendel Insurance build a solid defensive unit throughout the 2026/27 season.

‎Supporters will be eager to see how quickly the left-back adapts to his new surroundings as the Benin Arsenals continue assembling their squad before the league kicks off.
