Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has penned an emotional farewell message to Atalanta supporters following the confirmation of his move to Atletico Madrid, Bold Sports reports.
The Nigerian International who has now passed his medical with the Spanish side, is set to begin a new chapter after nearly four years in Bergamo, bringing an end to a memorable spell that saw him become a key figure in one of the most successful periods in the club’s recent history.
The 28-year-old reflected on historic achievements with Atalanta, including their European triumph and his personal milestones during his time at the club, while thanking teammates, staff and fans for their support and for making Bergamo feel like home.
“To the Atalanta family, after nearly four years, the time has come for me to say goodbye,” Lookman wrote on his official Instagram account. “From the moment I arrived in Bergamo, you welcomed me like one of your own and pushed me to be the best version of myself.”
