‎Egypt captain, Mohamed Salah, has put recent turbulence at Liverpool behind him and is fully focused on guiding the Pharaohs through the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, according to national team coach Hossam Hassan, Bold Sports reports.

‎Despite experiencing a difficult spell at Anfield, where he has started just once in Liverpool’s last five Premier League matches, the forward has reported for international duty in high spirits.

‎Questions surrounding his role under manager Arne Slot and public comments following a league draw sparked debate, but those concerns appear absent in Egypt’s camp.

Hassan revealed that Salah’s mindset has been unaffected by the club situation, saying: “His morale in training is very high, as if he were just starting out with the national team, and I believe he will have a great tournament with his country.”

‎The coach also highlighted the forward’s enduring quality and leadership, adding, “I feel his motivation is very, very strong. He is an icon and will remain so. He is one of the best players in the world, and I support him in everything he does.”

Addressing suggestions of a deeper issue between Salah and his club, Hassan downplayed the narrative, stating, “I don’t consider what happened to him to be a crisis. These things often happen between players and coaches.”

‎As Egypt prepares for their AFCON campaign, Salah is expected to remain central to their ambitions, carrying both experience and expectation into the tournament.
