Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has experienced a significant decline in his market value, according to the latest update from Transfermarkt. His valuation has dropped by €25 million to €75 million, a stark contrast to the €100 million he was valued at just a few months ago.
Several factors have contributed to this decline. Napoli’s disappointing Serie A campaign last season and Osimhen’s recent injury history have played a role. Additionally, the striker’s failed transfer saga over the summer, with clubs like Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain backing out due to Napoli’s high asking price, has also impacted his value.

Despite the drop, Osimhen remains the most valuable player in Turkey and Nigeria. He also holds the position of the sixth-best-valued center-forward in the world, trailing behind
Erling Haaland (€200), Kylian Mbappe (€180m), Lautaro Martinez (€100m), Harry Kane (€100m) and Julain Alvarez (€90).
In a recent interview, Osimhen expressed his belief that his true worth exceeds €100 million. This suggests that any club interested in acquiring his services will need to make a substantial investment.
“I am worth more than €100 million,” Osimhen said in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb (TMW). “There are few players like me in the world who have achieved this style and this success. Everything is linked to my characteristics, to the things I do, to my quality.”
According to reports, Osimhen’s contract with Napoli includes a release clause that could allow him to terminate his loan deal with Galatasaray and join another club for €90 million. However, Napoli has reiterated its commitment to seeing Osimhen complete his season-long loan with the Turkish giants.
