Nasarawa Amazons defender Sikiratu Isah has expressed delight after making her debut for the Super Falcons in their goalless draw against Algeria during their final Group B match on Sunday at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Isah was one of eight changes made by head coach Justin Madugu, who opted to rotate his squad after the team had already secured a quarterfinal spot with wins in their first two group games.
The WAFCON debutant said she was thrilled to finally feature at the tournament and was pleased with both her performance and the clean sheet.

“I’m very excited and thankful to God for bringing me here; it’s been a great experience so far,” Isah told Ademola Victor TV during the team’s media parley on Monday. “I was able to start against Algeria, and I believe with the result we got, we can build on it for even better performances.”
Speaking further about her first WAFCON appearance, Isah emphasized her gratitude and determination to make the most of her opportunity.
“It has been by the grace of God. I believe everything has its time and season, and this is my season. I plan to make the most of it,” she added.
