Sevilla have reportedly rejected an offer from Italian side Venezia for Nigerian striker Akor Adams, with the Spanish club valuing the Super Eagles forward at between €20 million and €30 million.

According to reports in Spain, Sevilla are looking to raise funds this summer as they battle financial difficulties and are prepared to cash in on some of their most valuable assets if the right offers arrive.

While Switzerland international Ruben Vargas has attracted attention following his impressive performances at the FIFA World Cup, Adams has also emerged as one of the club’s most sought-after players after an impressive end to the 2025-26 season.

The Nigerian scored 10 goals across all competitions, including crucial strikes against Espanyol and Villarreal during Sevilla’s run-in, helping to boost his reputation after also impressing for Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Reports from Italy claim Venezia have already submitted an opening bid for the 25-year-old, but Sevilla turned down the offer, deeming it well below their valuation.

The Spanish club reportedly paid €6 million to sign Adams from French side Montpellier in January 2025 and are now hoping to make a significant profit should they decide to sell him.

The report adds that Venezia’s proposal was worth just under €10 million, an amount Sevilla are unwilling to consider as they value the striker in the €20-30 million range.

Adams is also attracting interest from French giants Olympique Marseille, who are said to be monitoring his situation closely, with the Nigerian still highly regarded in Ligue 1 following his successful spell at Montpellier.

The latest development comes just a day after Adams played down speculation linking him with a move away from Sevilla, insisting he remains focused on recovering from the season and helping the club challenge for European qualification next term.

“It is normal that during this period there will be rumours of transfer moves for a lot of players, and not just myself. I am happy that my work is being recognised, but there is nothing to it,” Adams told Footy-Africa.

“I have not spoken to my agent, and I do not take such things seriously because right now it is time to relax and recharge for next season.”

With interest growing from both Italy and France, Adams appears set to remain one of Sevilla’s most valuable transfer assets during the summer window, even as the player continues to publicly commit his future to the Spanish club.
