Super Falcons midfielder Christy Ucheibe has completed her move to Saudi Women’s Premier League club Al Hilal. The Nigeria international joins the Saudi side after leaving Portuguese champions Benfica.
Ucheibe arrives in Saudi Arabia after a strong run with Nigeria. She scored from the penalty spot in the Super Falcons’ 6-2 win over Egypt at the 2026 WAFCON.
The 25-year-old spent six seasons with Benfica. She joined the Portuguese club in February 2020.
Her time in Lisbon produced a remarkable trophy haul. Ucheibe won six consecutive league titles with Benfica. She also lifted two Portuguese Cups.

The midfielder added five League Cups to her collection. She also won two Portuguese Super Cups.
Benfica confirmed her departure in June. The club said her contract would end on June 30. It also praised her contribution during her time with the team.
Ucheibe made 179 appearances for Benfica. She scored 11 goals during that period.
She also became a regular member of the Nigeria senior team. In 2024, she helped the Super Falcons win the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Ucheibe will now continue her career with Al Hilal. The move also reunites her with fellow Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala.
The forward helped Al Hilal reach the SAFF Women’s Cup final. She scored and assisted in the semi-final first leg. She then added a hat-trick in the second leg.
Ucheibe now brings further experience to the squad. Her defensive and midfield versatility should add depth to Al Hilal.
For the Nigerian midfielder, the move marks another major step. She leaves Benfica with six league titles and several domestic trophies.
Now, a new challenge awaits in Saudi Arabia.
