Toronto Raptors rookie Jonathan Mogbo had a breakout performance, scoring 12 points and contributing significantly to the team’s 115-105 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
The 22-year-old came off the bench and nearly secured a double-double with nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and two steals.
“I’m just playing my role,” Mogbo said after the game. “Every time I get the opportunity, I’m going to go out there and give it my all.”

Mogbo’s impressive performance didn’t go unnoticed. Head coach Darko Rajakovic praised his defensive impact and transition play, while teammate Scottie Barnes expressed pride in seeing his friend excel on the NBA stage.
“He’s doing a great job of being disruptive defensively and rebounding the ball,” Rajakovic said. “He’s a player who can also push the pace in transition.”
Barnes added, “It’s a blessing to grow up with him and see him play so well on this stage. I know his family is proud.”
Ochai Agbaji, another Nigerian player on the Raptors, also contributed with 12 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and one assist.
Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 27 points, while Jakob Poltl added 19 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and four blocks. For the 76ers, Kelly Oubre Jr. scored a game-high 28 points, and Tyrese Maxey added 24. Joel Embiid and Paul George were both absent due to injury.
