Victor Osimhen has firmly shut down rumours suggesting he is unhappy at Galatasaray, insisting he has no issues with anyone at the club following their 3-1 Süper Lig victory over Alanyaspor.
The Nigerian striker was on target as the Turkish champions secured another important win to maintain their lead at the top of the table. Sacha Boey and Lucas Torreira also found the net in a dominant display from the Yellow-Reds.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Osimhen directly addressed speculation about his mood at the club.
“I have no problems with anyone! I’m happy at Galatasaray,” he said.
The 27-year-old explained that his body language during certain matches had been misunderstood, particularly when he did not celebrate a goal against Juventus in the Champions League.

“I celebrate goals most of the time. There are times when I don’t celebrate, but there was a reason for that in the Juventus match,” he clarified.
Osimhen stressed that since arriving in Istanbul, he has maintained strong relationships across the club.
“I’ve been on very good terms with everyone at Galatasaray since the day I arrived. I love my club, my coach, our fans, and our president.”
Looking ahead to next week’s derby against Beşiktaş, Osimhen acknowledged the magnitude of the fixture.

“The Beşiktaş match is very critical. A very high-quality team awaits us, but we also have a very high-quality team. We will go there for 3 points! First the Beşiktaş match, then Liverpool, but let’s not forget that we also have a cup match against Alanyaspor!”
Osimhen also spoke warmly about İlkay Gündoğan after returning the captain’s armband to him during the match.
“İlkay Gündoğan is a person known worldwide. He’s someone I love very much and he’s an incredible person. He’s a very visionary person. When the ball comes to him, he knows his next move,” Osimhen said.
He admitted the moment felt unusual when Gündoğan handed him the armband.
“It felt strange that he brought the captain’s armband to me. Because I gave the captain’s armband back so he could lead us. I have great love and respect for İlkay Gündoğan.”

The striker also expressed gratitude to the Galatasaray supporters for a special choreography unveiled in his honour.
“I didn’t know there would be a choreography. Galatasaray fans have made me feel incredible since I arrived. I’m really happy and grateful to them. What they wrote is true, ‘Family is everything,’ and we are a family.”
Osimhen has enjoyed a remarkable campaign, registering 17 goals and six assists in 25 appearances this season, further underlining his importance to Galatasaray’s domestic and European ambitions.
