Nigerian forward Nefeye Osazee has officially joined AFC Bournemouth after signing a scholarship agreement with the Premier League club ahead of the 2026-27 season, Boldsports report.
Bournemouth confirmed the teenager as one of 14 new academy scholars, with five arriving from outside the club. Osazee completed the move after ending his three-year stay at Arsenal’s famed Hale End Academy, where he developed as one of the Gunners’ promising young attackers. The move comes as Premier League academy players entering their Under-17 year are required to sign scholarship agreements before becoming eligible for a professional contract after turning 17.
Osazee spent the last three years at Arsenal after joining from Slough Town’s youth setup in 2022. During his time in North London, he helped Arsenal’s youngsters lift the Premier League U13 National Cup, highlighting his potential within one of England’s leading academies. Before moving to England, the Nigerian attacker started his football journey at Lagos-based City Sports School.
His arrival at Bournemouth offers another opportunity to continue his development, with the club planning to integrate him into its Under-18 squad for the new campaign. He is also eligible to be registered as a scholar within Bournemouth’s Premier League academy structure.

The Cherries promoted nine players from their Under-16 squad while adding five external recruits, including Osazee.
The club’s new academy intake also features Kelvin Arthur, Aidan Batista Guanchez, Zac Christie, Max Collins, Zach Melin, Adrian Oluwande, Tom Robinson, Alfie Thomas and Levi Tindall from within the academy.
External arrivals include Denzel Decardi-Nelson, Marko Gasiorowski, Damani Kearney, Max Lyall-Rajendra and Osazee.
Academy Manager Sam Gisborne welcomed the new intake, saying:
”We’re pleased to welcome our new first-year scholars at AFC Bournemouth.
”Whether they have already been with us for many years or they are joining us externally, we’re looking forward to helping them settle into full-time football.
”We are excited to see how they call continue to develop, both individually and as a team.”
Bournemouth’s Under-18 side will begin their 2026-27 campaign on 15 August, with Osazee aiming to make an immediate impression in his first season at the club.
