Serie A giants AC Milan are considering Nigerian-eligible striker Samu Omorodion as a backup option to Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee in their search for a new forward.
The 20-year-old plays for Atletico Madrid in La Liga and could be a potential replacement for outgoing Frenchman, Oliver Giroud.

Milan’s primary target is Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee, who impressed last season scoring 12 goals while providing seven assists in 37 games across all competitions.
However, negotiations are complicated by a hefty agent fee reportedly demanded on top of Zirkzee’s release clause.
The contract situation with Bologna and Zirkzee’s agent has opened the door for Omorodion who is seen as a more cost-effective alternative for Milan.
On loan at Deportivo Alaves last season, he emerged as their top scorer with 9 goals in 35 league appearances, helping them to a mid-table finish.
The powerful 6ft 4in striker, eligible to play for both Nigeria and Spain, joined Atletico Madrid from Granada for €5 million last year. Transfermarkt currently values him at €35 million.
