The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles will square up against Venezuela and Colombia in a pair of international friendly matches scheduled for the United States of America in November 2025.

According to NFF’s FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachón of Eurodata Sport, the three-time African champions will first face Venezuela on Friday, 14 November at the Shell Stadium in Houston, Texas, with kick-off set for 8pm Texas time.

Four days later, on Tuesday, 18 November, the Eagles will lock horns with Colombia’s Los Cafeteros at the Citi Field Stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York. The encounter will kick off at 8pm Eastern Time (1am Wednesday, 19 November in Nigeria).

Bold Sports had earlier reported the fixture against Venezuela, which will serve as a key test for Nigeria during the FIFA international window.

The Super Eagles are no strangers to the American stage. In their last tour of the USA in the summer of 2022, the team played Mexico at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, losing 2-1 in what was José Peseiro’s first game in charge. Cyriel Dessers scored Nigeria’s only goal on the night with a powerful header. Days later, the Eagles also fell narrowly to Ecuador in New Jersey.

The upcoming clashes against Venezuela and Colombia are expected to provide stern tests for the Eagles as they continue preparations for major international competitions, especially the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in December.
