Highly rated Nigerian midfielder David Moses made his second UEFA Champions League start of the season on Tuesday night, but it ended in disappointment as Arsenal cruised to a comfortable 3–0 victory over Slavia Prague, Bold Sports reports.

Moses, who made his Champions League debut against Atalanta, was handed another start as Slavia searched for their first win in the group stage. The 21-year-old was decent in midfield, but the Czech champions were ultimately outclassed by a ruthless Arsenal side in top form.

The visitors took the lead in the 32nd minute after a VAR check confirmed a penalty for a handball inside the box. Captain Bukayo Saka stepped up and made no mistake, finishing past the goalkeeper to put the Gunners ahead.

Arsenal continued to dominate after the break and doubled their advantage just seconds into the second half as Leandro Trossard’s precise cross was met by Mikel Merino, who hammered home a left-footed strike to make it 2–0.

Merino was on target again in the 68th minute, heading in Declan Rice’s pinpoint delivery to seal the victory and complete a brace. Shortly after, David Moses was substituted following a slight knock, ending his evening prematurely.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta used the comfortable lead to hand opportunities to several youngsters, including Max Dowman, who became the youngest ever player to appear in the Champions League. Ben White, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and academy prospect Andre Annous also featured late on.

The win extends Arsenal’s remarkable run to 10 straight victories in all competitions and eight consecutive clean sheets, moving them to the top of the Champions League standings with 12 points from four games.

For Slavia Prague, the defeat leaves them still searching for their first victory of the campaign, sitting 30th on the table with two points. They will hope to bounce back when they host Athletic Club in their next Champions League fixture.
