Super Eagles midfielder Chrisantus Uche is on the verge of completing a move to Premier League side Crystal Palace, with negotiations between all parties said to be at an advanced stage, Bold Sports reports.
According to transfer experts Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano, Uche is already in London, having agreed personal terms with the Community Shield winners. The Nigerian is expected to undergo his medical soon, as Palace aim to finalise the deal before the transfer window closes on Monday evening.
The potential switch comes as a surprise, especially since Uche was initially set to remain at Getafe following the collapse of his proposed transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Although Wolves had reached an agreement with Getafe, Uche’s representatives pulled the plug on the deal, citing dissatisfaction with how the move was handled. The midfielder had been expected to stay in Spain, much to the relief of Getafe head coach Pepe Bordalás, who was reluctant to lose him.
However, in a dramatic twist, Uche is now closing in on a move to Crystal Palace, where he could serve as a potential replacement for Eberechi Eze, who recently joined Arsenal in a high-profile transfer. Palace have already strengthened their attack with the signing of Yeremi Pino from Villarreal, and Uche’s arrival would further bolster their options.
The Nigerian midfielder has enjoyed a bright start to the new season, having scored and assisted in Getafe’s opening match against Celta Vigo. Last season, he managed four goals and six assists, playing a key role in helping the club avoid relegation.

If the deal goes through, Uche will become the second Super Eagles player to secure a Premier League move this summer, following Genk striker Tolu Arokodare, who is also close to sealing a transfer to Wolves.
