Warri Wolves continued their dream start to the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season with a 2-0 victory over Enugu Rangers in Ozoro on Sunday.
After securing a 1-0 away win in their opening fixture, Wolves faced a stern test against Rangers at their adopted home in Ozoro.
Following a lengthy delay, the game finally got underway with both teams showing attacking intent. Wolves broke the deadlock in the 48th minute through Oham Godwin, who unleashed a brilliant curling effort from outside the box that left the goalkeeper with no chance.
Prince Ebhohan doubled the lead with a well-timed header from a corner, sealing all three points for the Seasiders and ensuring back-to-back wins to start the season.
Reacting to the result, head coach Napoleon Aluma praised his players for their discipline and execution:
“All credit goes to the boys for how well they composed themselves throughout the game,” Aluma said. “They gave everything on the pitch, stuck to the tactics, and delivered. It’s a good start for us.”
The win lifts Wolves to second on the log, level on points with Bayelsa United. Both sides remain the only teams with a 100% record after two matches.
Up next, Wolves travel to Abeokuta for a tough clash against defending champions Remo Stars.
