Cameroon’s Carlos Baleba has called for composure and unity as the Indomitable Lions set their sights on a daunting knockout clash with hosts Morocco, insisting the team’s collective spirit is driving their momentum at the tournament Bold Sports Reports.

Carlos Baleba, named Man of the Match, acknowledged the scale of the challenge ahead but struck an upbeat note after another assured performance.

“Morocco are a strong side in African football,” he said. “But we are on a good run. It’s up to us to keep a cool head and continue like this. Our mindset is very positive, we play for each other, and that is what makes our team strong.”

Cameroon head coach David Pagou echoed that optimism, praising his players for navigating what he described as a demanding phase of the competition.

“We are of course excited with the result,” Pagou said. “We have had a hectic assignment which we have successfully completed. We are striving to improve and working collectively to keep progressing this team. Keeping a positive state of mind has been key for us.”

Elsewhere, the mood was more reflective in the South Africa camp. Head coach Hugo Broos admitted disappointment after Bafana Bafana’s defeat, but was already turning attention towards longer-term goals.

“Our team did not deserve to lose tonight,” Broos said. “This is not the result we came for, but we have to accept it. Now we will focus on preparing for our future objectives, with the World Cup in our sights.”

As the tournament edges into its decisive stages, confidence is building in the Cameroon camp, while South Africa begin to recalibrate looking beyond the present setback to the challenges ahead.
