Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has returned to Germany after undergoing medical tests at AC Milan, with the Serie A giants yet to give the green light on his proposed transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, Bold Sports reports.
Boniface spent the weekend in Milan for in-depth medical checks but, after 48 hours in the city, he is heading back to Leverkusen on Sunday to await Milan’s imminent decision on the move.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Milan are still assessing the results of Boniface’s tests, which will determine whether the club proceeds with the deal.

AC Milan director Igli Tare also confirmed the situation, emphasising the importance of making the right call: “We are checking Victor Boniface’s medical. His football skills are excellent, but we need to take the right decision,” Tare said.
“We will make the final decision soon, together with our coach Max Allegri,” he added.
Meanwhile, AC Milan are still in talks with Sporting Lisbon striker Conrad Harder as a potential option, with some reports suggesting that the club could move for Harder even if Victor Boniface eventually completes his transfer.
Additionally, according to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, the agent of Rasmus Højlund was spotted at the San Siro during Milan’s game against Cremonese on Saturday, sparking speculation that the Manchester United forward has emerged as a potential target should the Boniface deal collapse.
