Barnet FC have completed the signing of former Nigeria U20 midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh following his departure from Swindon Town, Bold Sports reports.
The 25-year-old joins the League Two outfit after making 42 appearances and scoring three goals for Swindon last season, helping them to a 12th-place finish with 62 points — eight adrift of the promotion playoff spots.
Ofoborh came through Bournemouth’s academy, where he signed his first professional contract in 2017. He was named the club’s Young Player of the Season and earned a place on the bench for two Premier League fixtures during the 2018–19 campaign.
He later made three Championship appearances for the Cherries following their relegation while featuring in the Capital One Cup twice.

The central midfielder had two separate loan stints at Wycombe Wanderers in 2019 and 2021 before sealing a move to Rangers. However, a heart condition prevented him from making a competitive appearance for the Scottish side, and his contract was mutually terminated in 2023.
He made a remarkable comeback to action in 2024 with Swindon, demonstrating resilience both on and off the field.
At international level, Ofoborh featured for Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland, earning three caps. He came off the bench in the Flying Eagles’ 4–0 win over Qatar, then started against Ukraine in the group stage and again in the round-of-16 loss to Senegal.
Speaking in his first interview with Barnet, Ofoborh outlined his versatility and commitment: “I do whatever job needs to be done – if it’s defensive, or trying to get into the box – whatever works for the team I’m willing to do it.
“I think I’m really good technically, and [in] trying to control the tempo of a game. I also bring a leadership and communication aspect that is very vital and holds a lot of value, especially in stadiums and big matches.
“I had a long time out and thankfully to God I’m back playing, and every time I get the opportunity to do so, that’s all I want to do.”
Barnet manager Dean Brennan welcomed the addition, describing Ofoborh as a much-needed presence in midfield. “Physical, athletic, dynamic, defensive type midfielder player – good in both boxes,” Brennan said.
“Good game understanding and a good schooling, that defensive player we’ve been looking for a couple of seasons now. He’s got a lot of calibre, the kid, and I think it’s a real good signing for us.”
