Ballon d’Or organisers have confirmed that Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie earned six points to finish fourth in the first-ever Women’s Yachine Trophy rankings, Bold Sports reports.
The Nigerian international placed ahead of Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar, who came fifth with five points. Chelsea and England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton dominated the voting with 88 points to win the inaugural award, while Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger finished second on 26 points and Spain’s Cata Coll was third with 25 points.
Nnadozie’s fourth-place finish highlights her growing stature on the global stage. Earlier this year, she was instrumental in Nigeria’s triumph at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where she won the Goalkeeper of the Tournament award as the Super Falcons lifted a record-extending 10th title.
The 24-year-old also enjoyed success with Paris FC before moving to the Women’s Super League with Brighton and Hove Albion, where she marked her debut with a clean sheet and the Player of the Match award.

Nnadozie will be hoping to continue her impressive form for club and country as Brighton will be competing in the league and league cup while the Super Falcons will be back in action by October for their WAFCON qualifier.
