NBA Playoffs: Ayo Dosunmu shines as Timberwolves edge Nuggets 113-96 in Game 3

Ayo Dosunmu delivered a Player of the Match performance, scoring a team-high 25 points to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 113–96 victory over the Denver Nuggets at the Target Center. The win gives Minnesota a 2–0 series lead over the 2022 champions in their first-round playoff matchup.

Coming off the bench, Dosunmu made a major impact on the offensive end, adding a game-high nine assists and three rebounds to guide the Timberwolves to a commanding performance. His all-around display set the tone as Minnesota heads into Game 3 with strong momentum.

It was a collective effort from the Timberwolves. Jaden McDaniels recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in 41 minutes, along with three assists, one steal, and one block. Anthony Edwards contributed 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists in 24 minutes.

Donte DiVincenzo added 15 points, seven assists, four rebounds, and a game-high four steals, while Rudy Gobert anchored the paint with 10 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.

Despite a relatively quiet outing for Denver, former MVP Nikola Jokic still posted a game-high double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds, along with three assists and two steals. Jamal Murray finished with 16 points, while Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in 11 points off the bench.

The Timberwolves will aim to extend their advantage to 3–1 when the series continues in Game 4 on Tuesday, April 26 (Nigerian time), while the Nuggets will be eager to respond and level the series at 2–2.
