D’Tigers will be aiming to extend their impressive run at the ongoing FIBA Afrobasket 2025 when they face defending champions Tunisia in their second Group B clash at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Luanda, Angola, Bold Sports reports.
Nigeria opened their campaign in style, cruising to a 77-59 victory over Madagascar, while Cameroon stunned defending champions Tunisia with an emphatic 86–65 win in their opener.
Tunisia, back-to-back Afrobasket winners and champions in three of the last five editions, will be desperate to bounce back and keep their hopes of a historic three-peat alive. But Nigeria will be determined to ensure that doesn’t happen.

A win for D’Tigers will seal their place in the quarterfinals, while a loss would leave them fighting for second place or hoping to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams, a scenario they will be eager to avoid.
Despite Tunisia’s opening defeat, Nigeria must remain wary of their offensive threats, particularly shooting guard Jawhar Jawadi, guard Omar Abada, and towering 6ft 10in center Mohamed Fares Ochi.
Tip-off is set for 2:30 pm, and Nigeria will need its star players firing on all cylinders to secure a second straight win and book a quarterfinal spot at the 2025 Afrobasket.
