Millwall winger Femi Azeez has decided to represent the Super Eagles according to footmercato.net
The 24-year-old was born in England and grew up in Northwood to a Nigerian father and Spanish mother. This makes him eligible to play for Nigeria, England and Spain.
However, Femi Azeez has never played for England or Spain at youth level. This means he does not need to go through FIFA to change his sporting nationality.
Reports have now indicated that Nigeria have taken advantage of this situation to convince the Millwall player.

According to footmercato, The NFF have approached the player and his representatives, and the winger has already decided to represent Nigeria.
Femi Azeez’ addition provides another quality option for Eric Chelle and the Super Eagles. It also adds to the growing list of players who have switched allegiance to represent Nigeria in recent months.
This includes Blackburn Rovers’ defender Ryan Alebiosu, Rangers defender Emmanuel Fernandez and Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo.
Newcastle attacker William Osula has also been targeted, but no decision has been made in that case.
Femi Azeez has recorded nine goals and seven assists in the Championship this season. The winger made the Championship team of the season and is hoping to lead Millwall to the Premier League.

The Lions currently sit third with 80 points, level on points with second-placed Ipswich and 10 points ahead of seventh-placed Hull City. This means they’re in a great position to either get promoted automatically or through the playoffs.
Regardless of their fate, there is a real chance Femi Azeez plays in the Premier League next season. The winger has been linked with several clubs in the top flight including Brighton and Bournemouth.
