Raphael Onyedika has penned an emotional farewell message to Club Brugge following the completion of his move to German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Nigeria international joined Frankfurt on a long-term deal until 2031, bringing an end to a successful four-year spell in Belgium where he established himself as one of the club’s key players.
After the transfer was confirmed, the 25-year-old took to his official Instagram account on Tuesday to thank the club, his teammates, staff and supporters for their unwavering support throughout his time at Brugge.
“Dear Boeren, after 4 years the time to say goodbye is here,” Onyedika wrote.

“It’s difficult, I don’t know where to start. I want to use this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that I have worked with.”
“Big thanks to the coaches, physios, staffs and everyone at the club that helped me to develop and achieve some of my dream growing up as a child.”
The midfielder reserved special praise for the Club Brugge supporters, acknowledging the role they played during both the highs and lows of his career at the Belgian giants.
“To the fans, we experienced a lot of joy, and in the tough periods we suffer and stood together. You guys never let me walk alone even in my down moments. You never stopped supporting me, and that’s something I will always be grateful for,” he added.
Reflecting on his achievements at the club, Onyedika highlighted the memorable UEFA Champions League nights and the domestic success they enjoyed together.
“We achieved a lot together. Can’t forget the amazing Champions League nights, the titles we won and getting the 2nd for the club.
“Wishing the club and fans all the best. I will always be following and supporting the club. This chapter comes to an end, but the memories will stay with me forever. Once a Boeren, always a Boeren.”
Onyedika leaves Club Brugge after making 183 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing five assists. During his time at the club, he won two Belgian Pro League titles, the Belgian Cup and the Belgian Super Cup.
Having completed his switch to Eintracht Frankfurt, the Nigerian midfielder will now look to continue his development in the Bundesliga as he embarks on the next chapter of his career in one of Europe’s elite leagues.
