Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho ended his long goal drought in style, coming off the bench to fire Celtic to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Dundee FC in their league encounter at Dens Park on Sunday.
The Nigerian international, who had gone 182 days without finding the back of the net, proved decisive late in the game, scoring the winner to hand the Scottish champions all three points and a vital boost in their title push.
Celtic started brightly and took the lead in the ninth minute through Benjamin Nygren, who finished from close range to give the visitors an early advantage. However, the hosts responded in the second half, drawing level in the 57th minute when Simon Murray converted from the penalty spot.
In search of a winning goal, Celtic introduced Iheanacho shortly after the equaliser, replacing Tomás Cvancara. The change paid off in the 82nd minute when the striker showed composure inside the box, controlling a delivery from Marcelo Saracchi before firing home to make it 2-1.

Few minutes after that, the hosts were reduced to ten men as Ryan Astley received a red card. The numerical advantage allowed Celtic gain more control, sealing the win and reducing the gap on league leaders Hearts to three points with six matches remaining.
Iheanacho, who has struggled for consistent game time this season, has now scored four goals across all competitions. The 29-year-old will be aiming to build on this performance and secure a more prominent role as the campaign approaches the crucial run-in.
