Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi played a key role as FC Porto secured their place in the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals with a 2–0 win over VfB Stuttgart in the second leg at the Estádio do Dragão on Thursday — completing a convincing 4–1 aggregate victory in their round‑of‑16 tie.
Terem moffi who has been an important presence in Porto’s campaign this season, started the match and helped set the tone as the Portuguese side built on their slender 2–1 first‑leg advantage.
Porto opened the scoring in the 21st minute through William Gomes, who fired the rebound into the bottom right-corner of the net, finishing a well‑worked display that settled a cauldron‑like atmosphere at the Dragão.
The hosts doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute when Victor Frøholdt unleashed a stunning strike from outside the box that flew into the top corner, sealing the tie in emphatic fashion and sending Porto comfortably through to the last eight.

Moffi, who had also featured prominently in the first leg with a goal that helped Porto to the initial lead, started the return leg as part of Porto’s 4‑3‑3 formation. His physical presence and attacking threat posed a constant problem for the Stuttgart defence, even though he did not get on the scoresheet this time.
The match was not without its disciplinary moments. Zaidu Sanusi, the Porto full‑back, was shown a yellow card for a foul in the first half, adding a moment of tension before being replaced in the second period as part of tactical rotations.

Porto manager Francesco Farioli balanced his squad effectively, maintaining attacking impetus while protecting their aggregate lead. Substitutions were made throughout the second half to manage fitness and see out the win, with several players coming off as Porto eyes their Europa League ambitions.
Stuttgart, for their part, battled to find a way back into the tie but were unable to convert their opportunities, ultimately bowing out of the competition.
With the 2–0 victory and a 4–1 aggregate scoreline, Porto now advance to the Europa League quarterfinals, where they will face the English side — Nottingham Forest F.C., who themselves booked their place by overcoming Danish outfit Midtjylland on penalties earlier in the evening.
