BUA Group chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu has announced a $500,000 reward for the Super Eagles if they win their semi-final match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Rabiu made the announcement following Nigeria’s 2–0 victory over Algeria in the quarter-finals, a result that secured the Super Eagles a place in the last four of the tournament.

In a statement released on Saturday on his social media page, Rabiu praised the team’s discipline and composure against a strong Algerian side, describing the performance as a source of pride for the nation.

“Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria,” Rabiu said. “You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals.”

The BUA chairman revealed that the incentive package includes a $500,000 bonus should Nigeria progress to the final. He also confirmed additional rewards if the Super Eagles go on to lift the AFCON trophy.

According to Rabiu, Nigeria winning the final would attract an extra $1 million reward, alongside a $100,000 bonus for every goal scored in the title match.

Rabiu urged the players to remain focused and united as the tournament reaches its decisive stage.

“Keep making Nigeria proud and carry the nation forward with belief and excellence,” he added.
