Gabe Vincent scored a game-high 22 points for the Los Angeles Lakers in their 121–94 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, the team’s third defeat in four preseason games.

The D’Tigers guard was electric early on, sinking his first five three-pointers and tallying 18 points within the opening five minutes. His hot shooting helped the Lakers take a commanding 66–53 lead into halftime.

However, the second half told a different story. The Mavericks roared back, outscoring the Lakers 68–28 to seal a 27-point victory and improve their preseason record to 3–1.

Vincent finished with 22 points and three assists, supported by Rui Hachimura’s 19 points. Jaxson Hayes recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while RJ Davis chipped in 10 points.

For Dallas, Anthony Davis led the way with 18 points and nine rebounds. Rookie sensation and 2025 No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg, alongside PJ Washington, added 13 points each, while Dereck Lively II and Klay Thompson contributed 12 points apiece.

Up next, the Lakers face the Sacramento Kings before opening their regular season on October 22 against the Golden State Warriors at the Crypto.com Arena.

Vincent, now in the final year of his three-year, $33 million contract, will be looking to play a key role in helping the Lakers reach the playoffs, and potentially earn a lucrative contract extension at season’s end.
