Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has showered praises on Victor Osimhen and several of his national teammates after Nigeria, against all odds, booked a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs.

The Super Eagles cruised to a commanding 4–0 victory over Benin Republic at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, thanks to a Victor Osimhen hat-trick and a late 91st-minute volley from Frank Onyeka.

Arokodare, one of the newest faces in the national team setup, expressed deep admiration for Osimhen, revealing how much he’s learning from the prolific striker both on and off the pitch.

“Osimhen is out of this world,” Arokodare exclaimed on Snapchat. “That’s some Ronaldo vs Spain shii right there. Uncle Cristiano Victor LeBron James Osimhen!

“You guys have no idea how it feels playing alongside your mentor. Omo, na play and classes I dey do for here, because I’m learning every day from this man. Thank you for the lessons – and the goals too.”

Beyond Osimhen, Arokodare also lauded Benjamin Frederick, describing the young defender as “one for the future,” and Frank Onyeka, whose goal capped off the emphatic win.

“Uncle Frank Ogochukwu Onyeka, thank you o! First time wey you enter box, you score. Dey enter the box like that dey go — as long as you get strength to run back your position.

“Great finish, my guy. Great redemption. God works in mysterious ways. Thank you for being a pathway for God’s blessings and favour to us in this game.

“Benjamin Frederick, superstar — come give me some of your cool. Well done, sir.”

The Wolves forward also took a moment to appreciate his teammates, coaches, and the Nigerian fans for their commitment, resilience, and unwavering belief in the team.

“To my teammates, goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, attackers, and coaches, may God continue to reward all our hard work and sweat.

“And to Nigerians, thank you for praying, believing, and supporting us. Two more games to go. The same God that started with us will finish with us.”
