Bayelsa Queens will make history as the first Nigerian side to feature twice at the WAFU B qualifiers, having first appeared in 2022 and going on to lift the title that year.

Under the guidance of head coach Whyte Ogbonda, the Yenagoa-based side booked their place in the tournament after claiming the 2024–25 NWFL Premiership Super Six Playoffs crown with a dominant run.

They will aim to emulate Edo Queens, who currently hold the WAFU B crown after a commanding 3–0 victory over Benin Republic’s Ainonvi FC in the 2024 final, also hosted in Ivory Coast.

The competition in Ivory Coast will determine the region’s sole representative for the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League, with only the winners earning a spot at the final tournament.
