Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas have held talks with the representatives of Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel regarding a potential summer move.
Osayi-Samuel’s time at Fenerbahçe is expected to officially end on June 30, as both parties have failed to agree on a contract renewal, allowing his current deal to run its course.
The former Queens Park Rangers wing-back has attracted interest from several Premier League and Turkish clubs, but Besiktas are keen on securing the services of the Nigerian international, who has spent five seasons in Turkey.
However, fresh reports from Turkey suggest Fenerbahçe are not giving up just yet. The club is reportedly planning to reopen contract talks and will meet with the player’s agent—his father—in the coming days.

A meeting is expected between Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç and Osayi-Samuel’s father, which could prove pivotal in determining the player’s future at the club. Sources close to the player indicate that Osayi-Samuel still harbors a strong desire to remain with the Yellow-Navy outfit.
Having finished second in the 2024/25 Turkish Super Lig season, Fenerbahçe will enter the UEFA Champions League qualification rounds. For Osayi-Samuel, playing in the Champions League with Fenerbahçe remains a dream, especially after multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach the group stages in previous campaigns.
