‎There was late heartbreak and high drama at the Lafia City Stadium in Minna as Wikki Tourists were denied a crucial victory, settling for a 2-2 draw against Enyimba in a pulsating Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 33 encounter.‎‎

Wikki Tourists made a dream start, asserting early control and taking the lead in the 15th minute through Imamu Bala, whose composed finish gave the hosts a deserved advantage. The early breakthrough injected confidence into the home side as they dictated tempo and showed attacking intent.

‎‎Enyimba, however, responded after the restart. In the 56th minute, Samuel Okechukwu restored parity with a well-taken goal, shifting momentum in favour of the visitors as they began to grow into the contest.‎‎

The hosts refused to back down. With urgency and determination, Wikki Tourists regained the lead in the 71th minute when Jonathan Mairiga found the back of the net, sparking hopes of a vital three points in their battle against relegation.‎‎

But just as victory seemed within reach, Enyimba delivered a crushing blow deep into stoppage time. Nwaorisa struck in added time (90+7’) to make it 2-2, silencing the home crowd and rescuing a point for the Aba giants.‎‎

The result leaves Wikki Tourists in a precarious position, sitting 17th on the table with 37 points, level with 18th-placed Remo Stars, who have a game in hand. Enyimba, meanwhile, move to 40 points and occupy 13th position, continuing their push for a stronger finish to the season.‎‎

For Wikki Tourists, it is a case of what might have been—two points dropped at a critical stage of the campaign.‎
