Negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli for the transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen have hit a significant roadblock with reports stating that the two clubs have failed to yield a breakthrough.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, a key point of contention is PSG’s refusal to include South Korean midfielder Kang-in Lee as part of the deal.
Napoli had been keen on acquiring the talented playmaker as part of the Osimhen transfer, but their wishes have been firmly rejected by the French giants. Furthermore, PSG have shown no willingness to meet Napoli’s €130 million valuation of Osimhen by triggering his release clause.
With these conditions remaining unchanged, the possibility of Osimhen moving to Paris appears increasingly remote at this stage.
Meanwhile, PSG appear content with their current attacking options. The club is reportedly satisfied with the performances of both Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani, suggesting that they are not desperate to sign a new striker at any cost.
It was reported last week that PSG and Osimhen have agreed personal terms worth €14m per season.
